Silver State Convention Housing was founded in 2005
by John William Felker II and staff. John has been working in the convention industry since 1995. Initially he started by
selling formica to Freeman and GES. John was a UPS OMS for 7 years for the Las Vegas Convention Center, Sands Expo, and Mandalay
Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. In 2001, John started work at a small travel agency that sold hotel rooms to business
travelers. After 4 years he started Silver State Convention Housing to further assist and upgrade the level of service for
business travelers.
